Once it is dried up, you can get sandpaper to smooth the surface of the pole.

3. Now you are ready for tying the fishing line into your pole. You can tie the fishing line starting on the base, up to the end. Make sure that you are not tying the line too tight so that you can adjust the line depending on the depth that you want. Just wrap the excess fishing line at the base so that you can adjust the line. Then once the line is attached to the pole, you can put a hook at the end of the line, or put floats. This is also where you will put the bait.
