Shape armholes: Cast off 6 sts beg next 2 rows. 83 (87-91) sts.** Cont even until work from beg measures 27 (27½-28) ins [68.5 (70-71) cm], ending with RS facing for next row.
Shape shoulders: Cast off 12 (13-14) sts beg next 2 rows, then 12 (13-13) sts beg following 2 rows. Leave rem 35 (35-37) sts on a st holder.
Front
Work from ** to ** as given for Back. Cont even until work from beg measures 24 (24½-24½) ins [61 (62-62) cm], ending with RS facing for next row.
Shape neck: Next row: K32 (34-36) (neck edge). Turn. Leave rem sts on a spare needle.
****Cont in stocking st, dec 1 st at neck edge every row 4 times, and then dec 1 st at neck edge every alt row 4 (4-5) times. 24

Cont even in stocking st until Front measures same length as Back to beg of shoulder shaping, ending with RS facing for next row.

Shoulder shaping: (RS). Cast off 12 (13-14) sts. Knit to end of row. Purl 1 row. Cast off rem 12 (13-13) sts.
With RS of work facing slip next 19 sts from spare needle onto a st holder. Join yarn to rem sts and knit to end of row. Rep from **** to ****.
Cont even in stocking st until Front measures same length as Back to beg of shoulder shaping, ending with WS facing for next row.
Shoulder shaping: (WS). Cast off 12 (13-14) sts. Purl to end of row. Knit 1 row.
Cast off rem 12 (13-13) sts.
Sleeves: With smaller needles, cast on 44 (48-48) sts. Rep from *** to *** as given for Back. Change to larger needles and proceed in stocking st inc 1 st each end of needle on 5th and following 4th rows to 58 (66-62) sts and then on following 6th rows to 78 (84-84) sts. Cont even until work from beg measures 20½ (21-21½) ins [52 (53.5-54.5) cm], ending with RS facing for next row.
Shape top: Cast off 11 (12-12) sts beg next 6 rows. Cast off rem 12 sts.
Neckband: Sew right shoulder seam. With RS of work facing and smaller needles, pick up and knit 18 (19-20) sts down left front neck edge. K19 from front st holder. Pick up and knit 18 (19-20) sts up right front neck edge. K35 (35-37) from back st holder, dec 1 st at center. 89 (91-95) sts. Work 1½ ins [4 cm] of (K1. P1) ribbing as given for Back. Cast off
loosely. Sew left shoulder and neckband seam.
Finishing: Place markers on sides of Sleeves 1 inch [2.5 cm] down from cast off edge. Sew in sleeves placing rows above
markers along cast off sts at armholes of Front and Back to form square armholes. Sew side and sleeve seams.
