Fast and Easy Knit Afghan

This pattern can be completed with the following Bernat yarn:


Afghan - Fast and Easy Knit - Easy knit afghan that's soft and cuddly for those winter nights. Designed from 'Bernat Illusions'.

Finished Size: Approx 54 x 60 ins [137 x 152.5 cm]

MATERIALS
BERNAT ILLUSIONS - 5 oz/ 140 g
   6 balls
Size 8 mm (U.S. 11) circular knitting needle 90 cm long or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE
12 sts and 8 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in pat.

STITCH GLOSSARY C6B
= slip next 3 sts onto a cable needle and leave at back of work. K3, then K3 from cable needle.

INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 162 sts.
1st row: (WS). Purl.
2nd row: *(K2tog) 3 times.
(yfwd. K1) 6 times. (K2tog) 3 times. Rep from * to end of row.
3rd row: K15. *P6. K12. Rep from * to last 3 sts. K3.
4th row: K15. *C6B. K12. Rep from * to last 3 sts. K3.
5th to 7th rows: As 1st to 3rd rows.
8th row: Knit.

These 8 rows form pat. Cont in pat until work from beg measures approx 60 ins [152.5 cm] ending with an 8th row of pat. Cast off.

Fringe: Cut 12 inch [30.5 cm] lengths of yarn. Taking 12 strands tog, knot into fringe along points on top and bottom edges of Afghan.
