MEASUREMENTS: Approx 10½ ins [26.5 cm]
wide x 9 ins [23 cm] tall x 5 ins [12.5 cm] deep.
MATERIALS Patons Rumor (80 g/2.8 oz)
4 balls of #69040 (Spanish Heather)
Size 6.5 mm (U.S. 10½ or K) crochet hook or size
needed to obtain tension. 2 snap fasteners. Pair
of leather handles. 1 button.
TENSION: 10 sc and 11 rows = 4 ins [10 cm].
INSTRUCTIONS
Note: Bag is made in one piece.
BACK and FLAP: Ch 30.
1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in
each ch to end of ch. Turn. 29 sc.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row for 13 ins [33 cm], ending with RS
facing for next row. Fasten off.
Sides and bottom: Next row: (RS). Ch 25. 1 sc in
each sc across Back and Flap section. Turn.
Next row: Ch 26. 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in
each of next 24 ch. 1 sc in each of next 29 sc. 1 sc
in each ch to end of ch. Turn. 79 sc.
Proceed even in sc for 5 ins [12.5 cm], ending with
RS facing for next row. Fasten off.

FRONT: With RS of work facing, miss first 25 sc of
Side. Join yarn with sl st to next sc. Ch 1. 1 sc in
same sp as last sl st. 1 sc in each of next 28 sc.
Turn. Leave rem sts unworked.
Proceed even in sc for 9 ins [23 cm], ending with RS
facing for next row. Fasten off.
With WS of Side and Back tog, join yarn with sl st to
bottom corner of Bag. Working through both
thicknesses, work 1 row of sc up along Side and
Back, leaving 4 ins [10 cm] free for Flap.
Rep for rem 3 sides.
Sew Handles at top corners. Sew snap fasteners in
position (see Diagram). Sew button to flap.
